Your New SGA
Here To Be Your Voice
"I'm pursuing a computer science program with LSC-Online. My current trajectory is to become a products manager or a product owner.
“I was inspired to run for the SGA to build leadership skills. My responsibility is for managing the budget, sport events and initiatives as well.”
“I'm currently a high schooler taking dual enrollment classes here at LSC-Online, my focus is to explore classes to decide which major I'm going to pursue."
I was inspired to became an Officer to build on my leadership skills and get more students involved with with LSC-Online.
I would tell students to never be afraid to participate in new things. My goal this year is to input ideas for clubs and try to get more students interested in getting involved with the SGA.
My message to new or incoming students for Lone Star College-Online is challenge yourself to try new things, expose yourself to new clubs and organizations. There's so many things that I personally have gained from being involved in student life.
I wanted a platform where I would be able to help, where our voices could be heard and to increase communication. I felt, just because I'm not studying a program in-person, it doesn’t mean that it doesn't have to be fun.I wanted to make student voices heard, help increase communication and bridge the gap between students and the college itself.
I'm encouraging everyone to really, really attend these SGA General Assemblies, because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have known all the resources that are available to us, to grow and learn. They will help to shape your experiences and inputs and help shape your future at Lone Star College-Online.
